Office Communications Clerk

If your plans don’t all end in chaos, you always retain an overview and enjoy working together with others, then our training as an office communications clerk is perfect for you.
Your training
Two and a half years as an office communications apprentice will truly develop your all-around skills. You will work in the human resources unit, as well as building management, accounting and secretarial services. However, initiative is also needed. Find a special area that appeals to you personally, either on your own or during work on a project with your fellow apprentices.
Your additional qualifications
In addition to your training, if you already have excellent English language skills then you can also take the foreign language correspondence clerk examination with the Frankfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). After two years of advanced training you will be able to communicate professionally and confidently in English.

- Workplace organisation
- Office communications
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail
- Text processing, preparation of statistics and charts
- Manage time schedules, calendars and vacation lists
- Prepare and plan meetings
- Travel planning, preparation and expense reports
- Prepare, review and process invoices
- Manage office supplies
- Duties specific to a particular working area (e.g. human resources)
Your personal profile
- Good university (Abitur) or university of applied sciences (Fachabitur) entrance qualification results, good college of further education (Fachoberschule) graduation results or entrance qualification results (mittlere Reife)
- Good to very good grades in German, mathematics and English
- Team spirit and the ability to communicate
- Initiative and commitment
- Enjoy taking on new duties
- Open and enthusiastic, including when dealing with people hen
- Service-oriented
- Flexible and willing to learn
Your future workplace
After you have passed your final examination, you begin work in the administrative office, as an assistant, as a clerk in the marketing department or in Sparkasse sales. Or you can earn further qualifications.
