University Graduates

The right place to start your career

Congratulations! Whether you are close to completing your studies or already have a degree in your pocket, we would like to be your partner as you begin your professional career.

Please read our University Brochure (in German language) for more information on what to expect in the DekaBank Group.

Your choice

You can choose your point of entry into the DekaBank Group. You may decide between a posted trainee program or direct job entry. Have you had a previous opportunity to familiarise yourself with your future area of responsibility either before or during your studies? Then show us what you can do.

Your personal profile

Your prospects are the best with a university or university of applied sciences program in economics, business mathematics or business information technology. Bank training gives you additional points. The most important factor, however, is internships or job experience gained during your studies that has familiarised you with the many tasks involved in the area of finance. We also welcome applicants with excellent analytical skills who are changing careers.

Your strengths

Your areas of specialisation and courses, excellent performance and personal commitment are important to us. Your strengths include initiative, the ability to communicate, and social skills. Language skills are also an important factor in your personal profile. As a result of our organisational structure, we pay particular attention to English and German language skills.

Take the first step, and learn more about your future with one of the leading financial service providers in Germany.

Your Future Prospects

Trainee program

A trainee position will be personally designed for you, taking into account your knowledge, areas of specialisation, preferences and experience. The focus is on your area of future employment, but you also learn all of the interfaces to your unit in order to quickly give you a good overview. Specialised courses and courses in interpersonal skills are used to develop your abilities.

We assist you

By stationing you as a trainee in the different departments of our Group you quickly learn our internal procedures, work areas and networks. Naturally, we provide assistance for you during your training. Personal mentors from your specialty area and the corporate human resources department are assigned to you right from the beginning, and are available to answer all of your questions.

We give you time

Twelve or 18 months of training gives you sufficient time to develop your skills. Regular feedback lets you know where you stand at all times.

What We Can Offer

Your working hours

We allow you to structure your own flexible working hours. Our 39-hour flextime model and the possibility of work autonomy (working hours honour system) give you the freedom you need. Even as a new employee you are entitled to 30 days of vacation.

Attractive fringe benefits

Our JobTicket public transport pass makes you mobile. It lets you come to work at a low cost and with no parking worries, and also takes you into the Taunus region on weekends. Our cafeteria provides delicious, balanced meals, and you can socialise with your fellow employees in our in-house cafe or the Deka Health Centre, our health and fitness centre.

Our support teams

As a trainee, you receive personal assistance from your human resources department and specialty area. If you have questions about payroll, vacation planning or other human resources issues, you can use our convenient online Employee Self-Service system (ESS) or call our support team.

Your Application

Take your time

Take your time when submitting your application, because it gives us our first impression of you. In addition to professional factors, such as areas of specialisation during your studies and course work, we are also greatly interested in personal characteristics. We are looking for people with team spirit, stamina and a willingness to perform. We are also interested in your professional experience. Training courses, internships and your own projects tell us that you know what you want. Foreign language and computer skills round off your qualifications.

Your application letter

You can send us your letter of application as part of your online application. It is your personal calling card. Make it clear why you are suited for the position you are applying for. Describe your strengths and where you have already had the opportunity to show them. Tell us why you would like us as your partner as you begin your professional career.

Our online application centre

Click the button at the bottom of the job posting or trainee position that interests you to go directly to our application centre. You will receive an email in less than 24 hours to confirm that we have received your documents.

Our feedback

If we find your personal profile attractive, but still have questions that need to be answered, we will request additional documents by email or post. After that, we arrange a time for a personal interview.

Your interview

A discussion with employees from your future specialty area will give you an opportunity to show that you are a good fit for us. If we are satisfied with your professional abilities, we will invite you for a second interview to get to know you better personally. We will let you know as soon as the decision is made.

We look forward to receiving your application and hope to welcome you into our company soon!
